Remote work entry pathway
Nomad Visa Income The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) requires proof of funds/bank balance of at least 500,000 THB (approx. $14,000 USD). No strict monthly salary minimum is enforced, but you must prove remote employment or freelance portfolios.
Nomad Visa Duration Valid for 5 years with multiple entries. Each entry allows a continuous stay of up to 180 days, which can be extended once per entry for another 180 days locally.
Tourist Entry Standard visa exemption allows 60 days on arrival for US and EU citizens, extendable for an additional 30 days at a local immigration office.
Business Meetings Standard tourist/exemption entry permits basic business meetings and seminars, but any active commercial work or localized business setup requires transitioning to a Non-Immigrant B Visa.

Tipping is optional and modest. Rounding up taxi fares and leaving 20-50 baht in restaurants is normal; upscale venues add a 10% service charge.
